GFRP-Anchor

GFRP (glas fiber reinforced polymer) anchors form a very own group of removable anchors. Due to their capacity to absorb very high loads but under shear stress fail relatively quickly, GFRP anchors are no obstacle in the ground. Should a tunnel drilling machine strike a digger shovel, a sheet pile wall or similar a GFRP anchor in the ground, the anchor would shatter without affecting the construction progress. A GFRP anchor is per se a "removable anchor", but unlike all the other removable anchors described, it does not have to be removed from a purely technical point of view.

Major advantage of our system: GRP anchors

  1. Existing static calculations on a strand basis remain unchanged
  2. Generally no larger drill diameters necessary
  3. Transportation in rolled bundles as with strand anchors
  4. Head design is generally approved by the building authorities with our approvals in the strand anchor sector
  5. The GRP anchors are tensioned and anchored using the same tensioning equipment in the same way as for a strand anchor
